When heading to Armature Works in Tampa you have plenty of options for breakfast/lunch/dinner and it can be a bit overwhelming. One of my go-to spots is their modern Cuban eatery - Hemingway’s! Chef & owner Felicia (Chef Phe!) has created a space that is fun & hip and serves up delicious Cuban food with her own spin on it.
One of the few vendors at Armature that serves breakfast, I recommend checking out the Breakfast Cuban with guava glazed crispy pork belly & fried eggs on Cuban bread. The perfect way to start your day!
Hemingway’s Breakfast Cuban
For lunch & dinner you have tons of options - build your own Cuban Bowl or get one of their AMAZING sandwiches. I’m a big fan of the sandwiches and love the Yucca Fries as a side.
The Hemingway Cuban
with house-roasted pork, salami, jamon serrano, swiss cheese, pickles, and house-made special sauce on La Segunda Bakery Cuban bread! This Cuban is on my list of Best Cuban Sandwiches in Tampa!
La Frita Cubana
with a house blend of Tambuzzo Sausage Co. chorizo, pork, and beef, caramelized onions, melted swiss cheese, topped with crispy potato strings on a sweet egg bun.
Black Bean & Plantain Burger
house-made veggie burger with a black bean and plantain patty, spicy aioli, cuban slaw, and heirloom tomatoes on a sweet egg bun.
And I can’t forget about dessert! Their mini Guava & Cream Cheese Empanadas are absolutely drool worthy.

Whether you are visiting Tampa, or a local, you need to have Hemingway’s on your list of restaurants to visit. Chef Phe has done an amazing job and as soon as you have your first bite you’ll see why it has become a local favorite!
